Review Navigator

The Review Navigator is the thin toolbar at the foot of the review page. Its left side names the section on your screen, and its right side holds that section’s controls. Every control has a key, so you can read a whole review without leaving the keyboard.

Control Key What it does
Jump to W Names the section on screen. Lists the sections of the segment on screen, then the other segments, and jumps to the one you pick.
Back A Goes to the section before.
Next D Goes to the section after, and on into the next segment.
Section Controls
Context Expand all or Collapse all (Q), when the Context has sections that fold
Trace Diagram Collapse all or Expand all cards (Q), Full screen (F), and Explain this card (G) while a card is open. On your own Flight Plan, Add card (C), Clear diagram (K) and Remove diagram (L), which ask you first before they clear or remove anything
Blast Diagram Export bound (E) and Import bound (Q), Full screen (F), and Assess this file (G) while a file is open
Code Walkthrough Previous waypoint (A), the position, Next waypoint (D), Mark as reviewed (S), Add comment (C), Ask Claude to write an explanation (G), Ask Claude to write the explanation for the whole block (Ctrl+G), Filter (F), Collapse all or Expand all files (Q), Collapse file or Expand file (E), Expand waypoint or Collapse waypoint (R)

In the Code Walkthrough, Previous waypoint and Next waypoint take the place of Back and Next. They step through the waypoints of the segment, and at either end carry on to the section before or after. On your own Flight Plan, Write description (C) takes the place of Add comment, and there is no Mark as reviewed.

When the author marked lines as Must-read, Filter (F) has a Must-read tick at the top. Ticked on its own, it keeps only the waypoints on those lines.

Filter shows the waypoints that match any of your ticks, and a Change type tick narrows them further. The first time you open a review of someone else’s change, the filter starts with Must-read (when there is one), Core change, Bug, Risk and the code blocks of your spotlight ticked. Your browser keeps the filter for each review, so it’s as you left it when you come back, cleared or not.

Zoom in and Zoom out are buttons at the top right of a diagram, beside a Full screen button that does what F does.

A section you collapsed stays collapsed. Jump to, Back and Next stop at its heading, and so does a code link that points inside it. A collapsed Code Walkthrough shows Back and Next in place of the waypoint steps, and stepping goes past its waypoints.

The keys do nothing while you type in a field, such as a comment or the chat, while a dialog is open, or while Cmd or Alt is held. With Ctrl held, only Ctrl+G does something, and every other key is left to the browser.
